Transistors
The 1108 computer was built pretty much all out of discrete
transistors. The only Integrated Circuits (ICs) in the thing were the
actual CPU registers. These were called ICRs (Integrated Circuit
Registers). It was important to have these in the 1108, because
without the ICRs, you couldn't have ICR faults.
