FURPUR

File Utility Routine / Program file Utility Routine. A "magic" program installed in SYS$*LIB$* as @FURPUR which was automagically invoked when any of the usual file and program file manipulation commands were invoked. These included @DELETE, @COPY, etc.

The EXEC "knew" about this, and invoked FURPUR for you automatically.
